BIO
Originally drawn to the piano, military life in my early years and it's frequent moves led me to the guitar as a more portable choice. And the fact that I heard Paco de Lucia play at a young age and felt like my face was going to melt off (guitar players, you know what I mean). My musical journey has since embraced a diverse span of genres: Classical, Jazz, Blues, Popular, Country, Songwriting, Brazilian, and other Latin styles. Music has no boundaries, and I echo a quote from Willie Nelson: "there is only good music…and bad music,” regardless of genre. My passion for music led me to earn B.A. & M.M. degrees in college, but true education begins after graduation. The learning never ends, and I continually strive to learn and expand my own musical knowledge while sharing with others. Currently my life consists of performing throughout the Southeast, keeping an active teaching schedule, auditioning frequently and working within the Atlanta film industry, and serving as a lead executive board member for the Atlanta Federation of Musicians Local 148-462.
"Thrilled to have had my first opportunity to participate in the creation of this film both as an actor and as a composer. "Touch & Go", written and directed by Heather Hutton, is such a beautiful and honest biopic film. I have immense admiration & gratitude for her as a director, not only for observing her bravery and artistic skill in sharing her story, but for trusting me in creating the musical backdrop for her film and for opening a new creative doorway for myself...composing for film and television. *Since it's creation "Touch & Go" has been featured in multiple film festivals throughout the world and has won several awards.*
